Entering Ouizel Game Space

First Video Game I Remember

Oddly enough, it wasn't pong. It came out the year I was born but I obviously didn't get to play it until some years later. It was a trio of games called "Speedway!/Spin-out!/Crypto-logic" released on the Odyssey 2. Two racing games and a word scramble type game. Speedway is single player while Spin-Out is a two player game. Crypto-logic will scramble the word and a second player has to try to figure it out. The nice thing about the Odyessy 2 was the keyboard. I'll talk about another game based around the keyboard in another post. I mostly played Speedway since it was the easiest for a little me to play. It is as I remember but playing it through internet archive is not the same since I do not have a proper joy stick to play it with. It's a fun short game where the speed continues to increase the further you get and there are other cars on the road you need to skirt around or you crash and ends the round. I believe it is three attepmts total after crashes to end the game. Fun, mindless, tests your response time.

Let the Games Begin

I have been playing games since the Magnavox Odyessy 2 in the early 1980's. One of the ideas I have had for far too long is to make a record of all the games I have played(good and bad). I am going to try to revisit as many as I can for fun and some nostalgia.

I don't have an order/format in mind just yet so the layout may change but going forward I will drege up the memories of games past and present. I still am playing games to this day so my catalog of played games is probably larger than it should be. Maybe I can spark some memories for others or encourage some revisiting of the classics.
